This exactly how I feel! I got it just once & that was enough. I just can't shop with 90billion microscopic words & few pictures. I much prefer online. But I DO really enjoy RR & order from them frequently!

I use columbia virtual academy and they recommend shopping through RR. I found it clumsy to look online, so I ordered the catalog. Mine has not arrived yet either. There aren't any pictures? wah I thought it would be easier to have the paper version, though in general I do not like waste... I just thought it would be great for the bathroom and for dd1 to look through to find things she likes.

The RR catalog is the same to a HS'ing mama as a JCPenney Wish Book is to a child at Christmas time.

No, haven't gotten mine yet either.

Are any of you secular homeschoolers?

I got the catalog years ago when I first started homeschooling but felt a little turned off by the constant religious notes scattered throughout. Is it still this way? Do any secular homeschoolers think it's easy to just skip past those parts and find more secular sources within?

I'm a secular homeschooler (more or less an atheist, in fact). The religious stuff doesn't bother me. I just skip over the stuff that doesn't appeal to me, and I read the stuff that does.
