Comment by the nurse as the pediatrician's office

I had undressed dd to weigh her, and the nurse says, "I just love those diapers that you ladies are using these days. None of that plastic on the baby!"

I thought it was sweet. And something positive out of all the negative things people hear about cloth diapering.

That's great!

I just when my grandmother made the comment that i had him in "real" diapers, and not those plastic things.

Wow! The people in our office had never seen them and thought they seemed "cool"...

That reminds me of my great-grandmother (died before I had kids). She was a baby lover!!! She is part of my inspiration to cd. I remember as a kid, she would always play baby dolls with me and took it so serious. I remember her commenting on "those plastic diapers" and how she would love to "get a hold" of a baby with a cloth diaper

That's great! All the nurses and our pedi love when we come in so that they can check out DD's cute diapers.

We get a lot of positive comments, too. A woman I met asked me, "Is she wearing 'real' diapers?" I just loved that description of them!

My ped (well, the NP in the office) commented on how great modern cloth dipes were, too.
