Thinking of no-poo... How to get out the silicones

I've used mostly natural products for a while in all body care except shampoo. I have long (past my bra strap) hair that is very thick/wavy. Now I am ready to take the plunge. In reading on the net I have came across articles that say you should wash with a clarifying shampoo first before you begin no poo if you have been using products with silicones in them because it is the only way to remove them. I don't use "products" in my hair... well I thought, but actually the conditioner AND shampoo I have been using is full of them Is there a way to get them out without buying another shampoo. Will Dr. Bronner's remove it???

On another note, I am about to dig thru the no poo posts here, but do you use conditioner if so what??? thanks

I used a shampoo and conditioner with cones in it and I didn't do anything special for nopoo. My hair is down to my waist and it seems ok.

My current routine is very simple. I have a squirt bottle with half apple cider vinegar and half water in the shower. I use this mostly on the scalp after I wet my hair down then rinse well, that's it. There is a faint vinegar smell but it dissipates after my hair dries. I also use a good brush on dry hair to redistribute sebum. No grease slicks or anything. I'm quite happy with nopoo.

I did try baking soda too but it seems to make my scalp itch so i save it for really dirty situations. That is yet to happen. I even used just vinegar water after my waterbirth and no issues.
