Identifying good/bad foods by feel

Is anyone else here so super sensitive that they can feel the energy in food (with their hands)? Has enyone else tried? I've been using it here to identify foods that agree with me or don't agree with me. This is not using a pendulum or crystal, this is actually using my hands and holding a food to see how the food feels. I don't mean how heavy or light it feels. I actually mean that there's energy in the food that I can feel. Of course I can also feel things like radio transmissions (like cell phones) and electromagnetic radiation from CRT monitors and tube type TVs. I haven't heard or seen anyone else mention this...anywhere. And I've only realized the food feeling thing recently, as I've been working on getting off my food offenders for more than 4 years now. It probably took me a year to fully eliminate the majority of them.

My DS does a form of muscle testing, where he holds the food and says "will I react badly if I eat this food?" He holds it with both hand in front of his solar plexus. If he sways forward it's bad. If he sways backwards it's safe/good. Not sure if that's "energy" or not. The osteo does regular muscle testing where he presses the arm down, and he's amazed that my DS has the same exact response as he does each time. He said he'd never seen it before. A friend of mine in NJ showed me how to do it.

that is a really amazing skill to have. I'm not able to do that.
I use a pendulum, which I think is tapping into the same energy, but in a different way.

That's interesting. That might be the closest thing, but it's not quite the same. I don't have to ask any question. I can actually feel the food's energy - each food feels different. The ones that bother me feel bad in some way...like, it feels itchy just holding it, or makes me feel really weird, or it feels like a "pulling down" sensation. The good foods feel good in some way. Like, Kombucha feels radiant, like the sun. Pineapple has a really neat sharp, perky feel. Other foods have a nice, lifting sensation. Some foods feel relaxing. Some foods just feel heavy.

Trying to help my DH, I tried having him hold a food in his hand (no watches allowed - I can feel those frequencies too). Then I put my one hand under his and the other around his same wrist. It works! I have to take care not to touch the food myself, or I will feel my own reaction, not his. We've tried with known things that bother me and not him. And then the other way around. It feels different for each of us. I've also tried a few foods with DS, and it works for him too.

I can't always feel these very low "signals", sometimes it's better than others. Things that get in the way are: anything that uses a lot of neurotransmitters...like being bothered by a lot of paint or perfume smell, having recently eaten (digestion uses a lot), or if I'm just tired. Also, any manmade signals or strong sounds nearby throw me off. And if I'm reacting to a food or sick, I would guess that would interfere as well (haven't had either of those happen yet while trying this).

Just thought I'd mention this way of food testing, in case anyone wants to try it. It really helps us! If you want to try it, start with a food you know that bothers you a LOT. That way, there should be a really strong (negative) feel to the food. These are very subtle, so you'd want the strongest feeling food to see if you can feel it. Another option would be to try a strong spice, like red pepper or cinnamon. Just hold the container...the food frequencies must vibrate the container too, because it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I usually don't tell people about it, because they might come after me with the long-sleeved white suit....

Kathy - see if your DH can feel the energy on a strong food offender for him, if he has one. Or, try a strong spice. Either way.

Have you actually tried it? Who knows, you might be able to feel some foods. I found out quite by accident. Like I said, start with strong offenders if you can, to get the strongest signal.

I just wanted to also say that if there is a chance of an anaphylactic reaction, then I wouldn't try this.

I don't think I get any vibe from foods, although I stop watches with regularity!

I did want to say though, that I don't think most of us in this forum would think at all negatively of ANYthing that helps anyone identify their food triggers. That's wonderful you have found something that works for your family. And I love your descriptions of how the different food feels to you!

Yeah, you all are cool here . Just IRL, most people would probably think I'm crazy. Well, they probably already do

DH has been writing all the descriptions down for each food I test for him. The hardest part is trying to express in words how it feels.

And, FWIW, I've been known to stop all watches except Seiko, for whatever reason. My dad does too!

Yeah, the watch thing is genetic in my family - my grandmother stopped them, as do I - my mom they just start running fast!

Kim, I think it's really cool that you can do that. Next time I buy some contraband, I'll experiment a bit. I'm not optimistic that I can feel anything, but I'll try.

i totally believe you. i can't do it with food (or maybe i can? haven't ever thought to try) but i can do it with plants. as in, i know when they need things (if they're agricultural/house plants) or what they might be used for chemically/medicinally. it's more of a mind thing with me, rather than a feeling in my hands, though. i feel kind of wacky just saying all that, though. like wow, man.. far out..
but people do say i have a green thumb.

Hmm, I wonder if you could feel herbs then, like tinctures and such. Many of those feel pretty strong to me.

I'd love to hear if you, or anyone else, finds out they can do it too! Surely, I can't be the only one in the world to be able to do this.

Hi Kim! I've been going through all of the threads here and I found yours. Your senses fascinate me very much. I will try what you are doing. I also feel energy from foods but I haven't been trusting them. They are very different depending on what state it is in (raw, or how it has been cooked, etc). I just haven't developed the confidence in trusting the feelings. I get it from looking at the foods as well as touching, and also very much from smelling them.

That's also fascinating to read about stopping watches! I have a good friend that makes people's watches spin fast but I haven't heard about this from anyone else in the planet up until now.

I also feel plants...well years ago...I haven't tried now. I went to some talk about Bush Flower essences and I could feel all of the properties for the plants by photo. So the guy who was doing the talk had me hang around after and projected photos of plants onto my body whilst I stood in front of the projector, so that I couldn't see any of them but just feel them. I was right on point with each projection. I felt it in my body. I have it also with homeopathic remedies - very strong. I can feel them in my body from around a meter away. Wow, I could talk about this stuff all day long lol!

Thanks for your thread. I am currently using a pendulum to test foods for my 5 month old DS, who I am desperately trying to help. I will probably start to use that plus the feeling thing. I may do blind tests with both, and get my DH to help so that it's like double blind on some tests to get as accurate as possible if needed. I spent the whole day testing tons of food. I feel that I have managed to cut out so much guess work for my own diet because I've been waiting 4 days in between new foods for myself and I'm wasting away lol. So, I'm cutting to the chase, but still being very, very cautious with it at the same time, by introducing foods one at a time for my diet as much as possible whilst monitoring my son.

This is interesting stuff! I can feel the energy from rocks and electrical equipments, and I thought I was loony to feel this way. Whenever I have a crisis all the electronic equipments in my house will break down. The few friends I confided in during my teenage years gave me a book on how crystal energy is the work of the devil.

My question: is it possible to test the food on behalf of another person? I would love to try this for ds2.
I would say definitely yes, that you can test for another person. Somewhere in this post there is some info about that (I think from the OP). I am sorry that your friends felt negatively about your experiences. Around 10 years ago I would crash a lot of computers from being in the same room as them, but that doesn't happen now thankfully! I probably just needed to ground my energy some, which I have learned to do now over time.

I want to test some foods for my DS with feel as well as the pendulum. So far the pendulum is serving us well and I have added a food back in to my diet that I was no longer eating and he's fine. I am testing the suspicious foods each time though. I had a dream last night (I get lots of answers and solve problems in my dreams sometimes) that I am to retest the suspicious foods each time I eat them as DS energy can change from day to day. It may not be good for him the next day but good the day beforehand, etc.

If you can feel electromagnetic energy, you should be able to feel food energy. Try feeling foods for yourself before doing it on others. I've found that feeling for others is a bit harder because the signals are not as strong.

Try to be in a quiet area away from electrical devices. Start with a strong food like cayenne or black pepper, or something you know you are allergic/sensitive to. Bottles of spices are interesting to feel, and they are usually reasonably strong. You don't have to touch the food, just hold the container in your hand. Try holding it in various positions and see if any one way is better. Just concentrate on how it's feeling, and see how it goes.

I found I was able to feel for others by placing my hand under theirs while they are holding the object in their hand. I hold their wrist with my free hand. This way, I can be as close to their touching of the food as I can be, without actually touching the food or container myself -- otherwise I'd get MY reaction to touching it. Strangely enough, with some things I can feel the whole body reaction, or a reaction in various parts of the body, not just my hands.

What I'm doing here is not based on crystal energy...it's simply being sensitive enough to feel the energy that's physically already there. For me, I believe this is the answer to my prayers, and so I give thanks for this to where it's due . It has been helpful in optimizing my DH's diet during his illness and for his food sensitivities. It's also been helpful in deciding whether a medicine or herb will be helpful for his treatment. It's also been useful in finding out what DS and I are sensitive to.

Hi! Great to meet you! It's great to hear of others who can do this too! Your senses sound similar to mine It's interesting that you can feel them just by looking at the foods! I have to actually touch the food or container. Well, smelling them works too, but it doesn't seem as strong for me that way. However, I will say that I have been in certain "food" stores where everything is super processed, and actually get the feeling that the life energy is being sucked out of me.

You are correct that the food energy varies depending on what state it's in. Cooking, processing, they change the properties of foods and herbs. I've also found that going around the food store, even different brands of the same thing feel different. This applies even when the ingredients are the same...such as cans of tuna. It also sometimes varies between batches within the same brand. Check out the fruits some time...you can tell by feel if they are ripe or not. Pineapples are especially good to choose this way. I can see how you could feel plants too, since that's where herbs and many foods come from.

How the food or herb or medicine feels depends on the state of the person at that time. So how it feel for a particular person can change over time, depending on their health. However, most things for me feel pretty consistent day in and day out. And interestingly, supplements for the adrenal gland can actually change feeling depending on what time of day it is. I think this is because the adrenals change depending on what time of day it is. Oh, and if you are looking for herbs, they feel different based on what form it's been preserved in (a tincture feels slightly different from a dried version of the same herb). I'm thinking you could also use this to figure out if you need a particular homeopathic remedy.

So anyway, it's great to know there are other(s) out there who feel this , and that we are not crazy I've only mentioned this to a few specific people (thinking I'd be taken for crazy), but I've only received positive responses and curiosity. It helps if you tell only people who you think would be supportive.

Maybe we should use this thread to share anything particularly interesting we've felt.

I've never tried physically touching the food to see how it feels, but I definitely get a "feeeling" when something has hidden allergens or cross-contamination or whatever.
I always chalked it up to a tiny smell I was picking up on, but also thought I might be just kinda crazy I'll have to try touching it.

I'd also be curious about using it with kids...

I used to be able to feel injuries, old and new, on people... it's been a long time
since I tried, though. My mom said it was similar to how she could see auras, but I could feel them with my hands. Perhaps your talent is similar to this.
