Doing This While Pregnant

Is there a support thread already?

Just tested positive today, due in Jan. or Feb. Our youngest is 18 months and reacts to gluten, high sals, and latex-cross reactive foods. I don't want to wean her. How do I make sure the baby and I are getting enough nutrients???

I *can* do dairy, which is a plus. My main concerns are fresh fruits and vegetables. About the only fruits I know she can tolerate are limes and peeled pears. I know she CAN NOT do pineapple and bananas. I haven't tried with any others since going low-sals. Vegetables she does are peas and green beans, onions, garlic, potatoes, seems to do okay with carrots. CAN NOT do corn. I am a little leery to add back anything high sals. Oh, asparagus. She loves that and does well on it. Does that count as a "green"?

I eat a lot of hamburger, chicken, whole grain rice, real butter, cheese, some beans, etc...

What prenatal vitamin(s) do you recommend? I'm sure I need to supp. with more than just a standard, possibly extra mag, b, and folic. Should have been doing more of this already...

I have no idea, but couldn't read and not post. This is my first GF pregnancy, so I'm having issues myself. Congrats, though, I'm due in December!

First, congratulations on your pregnancy!

Second, you can make a lot of progress increasing sals tolerance with supplementing magnesium, molybdenum, and B6. THe first two in particular, directly into your toddler.

Yes to what mamafish said! DD was reacting all over the place to sals is can now eat them all since supping! (A few in moderation, but still...)
