Too much Chlorine!!!

Our water supply is so over-chlorinated. I can actually smell the chlorine when I'm filling up the washing machine with hot water. (I haven't used bleach in the three years we've lived here so I know it not just bleach residue). It's eating away at my cloth diapers. First the elastic started wearing out and now they're all starting to get holes. All the clothes I wash on hot like underclothes, socks, towels are all wearing away quickly too.
I know there are filters I can get for the shower and sinks because we already have those, but are there any that will filter the laundry water??? I've never heard of one but I'm hoping that there's something out there.

I don't know of a "spot-treatment" for washing, but I know a great whole-house solution. I have a link for you, but they don't have any distributors in your state.

Our water is also horribly chlorinated. We had the Sigma 2000 in our last house. It's a whole-house water filter and purifier. Not cheap but we LOVED it. Makes the water taste and smell so fresh and clean. The unit maintains itself and the filter cartridge only needs to be changed every 7-10 years.
