After an exceptionally hard day (baby fussy, toddler on total all day fubar, raining so cabin fever for all kids, 2 mystery rashes on DD2, and no sleep last night)......

-DD1 decided to roll down the street and spend the night with her dad (he is getting remarried next week and his soon to be new DW is a teacher that is on break now, so DD1 is stoked to be able to spend time w/ her)
-DD2 crashed early which she never does
-DD3 (new baby) got her first bath, ate a ton, and is finally asleep on my chesy smelling wonderfully
-I am sitting in the recliner with a gin and tonic

Life is good.

Go mama! Isn't it great to be able to relax with a drink again?!

Kind of same situation here...baby has been so fussy, my mom is visiting and my cousin is visiting and it's been insane around here and we're all sick...suddenly I realized the following:

1) Mom and cousin are away for the night with my two older boys
2) My husband is playing pool till at least midnight
3) I spent the evening out with friends and baby fell asleep in the car on the way home, and she miraculously stayed asleep after I brought her in the house...

Therefore, I enjoyed a shower ALONE, ate some chocolate cookies with milk, and getting ready to settle in and watch a DVR show. Maybe even throw in a beer LOL. HOORAY for the moments that keep us sane!

Well it was short lived, lol. My awesome sleeping baby started an all night awake parade starting at 11:30pm. So this morning I am without DD1, who is my biggest helper. DD2, my night waker, slept all night though. Everything is backwards today, lol.

Oh, man! I totally forgot I can have a drink now!! And I LOL at the "toddler on total all day fubar" comment. We are having the same kind of day here. Glad to know I'm not alone!
