Funny two year pp belly anecdote

So I had my babies at almost 40 weeks and two years later I still have a pooch. The kind you need a tummy tuck, girdle, or decent self esteem to live with.
Tonight at yoga we were in table. It was a core class and we were supposed to be moving our stomach muscles around in a clockwise fashion. I wasn't sure if I was doing it right so I stuck my head in my shirt to check.

needless to say, I'll just judge by touch and not sight in yoga from now on.

Laughing cause I can totally relate. Coming up on the twins 2 year birthday and after months of working at it I still have that pooch. I am starting to believe it will never disappear.

LOL
Twins and a 10 pound singleton later, I can relate. I love how you described what is needed to live with it. I love my Spanx.

My five-year-old was recently snuggling with me on the couch and said with surprise, "Hey! How come you're all soft and squishy there?" (Not sure why he hasn't noticed in the previous THREE YEARS!)

But then he followed that up with a loving cuddle and sparkling eyes, smiling, "I love Soft Squishy Mommy!"

He made a beeline for that squish about three times in the following days, always telling me how much he liked it. (I'm tall and not squishy elsewhere).

When my boys ask why mommy has a wrinkly tummy, I'm going to tell them that it's because I loved them so much that I grew them big, Big, BIG!! And that's why my belly looks like a deflated balloon.

I really don't mind the wrinkly pooch as much as I thought I would. (I'm 6 months postpartum.) My hang-up is the waist. Where did my slim, trim waist go? Will I ever get it back? And how? Who has time to exercise? Not me.

...oh, and I want to keep the boobs.

Coming up on three years and another baby later, just resigned to the pooch. It doesn't help that my C/S scar is holding it up so it kind of folds in on itself. Sigh. What can we do? Plastic surgery anyone?????
