It's a tank for nursing but not in the typical sense. Take a look:

$53 for a tank with no boobs? Eh- I'd rather buy 3 tanks at Target and spend the same $$... Otherwise it's great!

I've been wearing my Be ruched maternity tanks still. They're comfortable, cover my tummy, and have a neckline that can easily be pulled below a breast for feeding (it stays in place once you pull it down, too). They're cheaper than the ones you posted and can be used as camisoles for low-cut tops when not actively nursing.

I actually bought a couple of long torso tanks at one of those jewelry, sock and junk clothes stores in the mall. The idea is awesome. It totally works but I'm really um, thrifty (cheap) so it was a good solution for me.

and Target has their gilligan & o'mally nursing tanks on sale for $11 right now, I bought 2 yesterday.

Those are cool, but super expensive.

I have two Target non-nursing long, form fitting tanks, i cut slits in the front over the boobs so they work like an unattached nursing top underlayer, and wear them under anything. When I bought them a year ago they were 2 for $10. Works great!

Genius idea! I have one from there I wore all winter to keep my belly warm and loved it.

Seriously, i like them so much better than my nursing tanks, which never seem to fit my long torso. I hate having leftover belly flab hanging out when I nurse in public so I really love these. Took me all of 20 seconds to make. I love being able to wear whatever I want over them.

Wow, you mamas have great ideas!

I actually ordered a modest middle before this was posted, now I'm thinking maybe I should have tried your guy's ideas. I was debating between the modest middle and the skinies, but was afraid the skinies would be to tight over my chest.

For those who have cut slits, do you have to finish the cuts at all with sewing?

The only nursing tanks I've found that fit me well and are long enough are the Bravados, but those are really $$$!

I did not sew them - the fabric held together fine, no fraying, even through laundry.

I cut tanks too. Mine have held fine with no sewing, and I need to make some more to have a better range of colors. I just buy the cheapies at Wal-Mart and cut away.

When I had ds2 I just bought the pack of men's tanks..you know those undershirt A-tanks sold in packs of 5? ...yup REALLY long tanks great to wear under everything because they're so thin...and I cut slits in those ....this time around I found some of those tanks in dh's drawers (he never wears them) ...so I cut in my slits and voila!!

Oh and a side note if you are pumping you can totally slide the pump into the slits and pump hands free (after a few practice runs of course!)

Wanted to add that the pack cost like 15 bucks for 7!!! (and you can get white, black or gray)
