I crock potted a chicken the other day and saved the liquid in the bottom. I want to make rice in my rice cooker today, can I use this chicken liquid in my rice cooker? Thanks

I think so. I know ours says you can use broth. Never done it, personally, though I've done rice on the stove with broth.

Thanks! I did it and the rice turned out great. One weird but good thing is that for some reason my rice cooker didn't get as messy as it usually does. In fact, it didn't get messy at all. Usually I have to wash the underside of the lid. Anyone know why this is?

My guess would be viscosity. Was your broth gelled? Or it could be the fat content - did you skim it? Either could prevent splattering.

It was gelled *and* I didn't skim it
