Hi everyone,
in the end of the last year I got laid off, so was home for the last 6 months with my kids. Now i was able to find a new position, so have some questions.
My kids are 4.5 year old and 18 months. My husband currently works evening shift (3pm-12am), so our son was never in daycare.. i worked mornings and he worked evenings.
1. We started our son in daycare for 3 hours 3 times a week as my husband is looking for a day shift now.. just so that he gets used to it. Since then he became very clingy and nurses a lot at night/morning. I don't mind the night, but i will need to get up relatively early... How do i do that with him constantly nursing? He will immediately wake up, cry and wake up my daughter....
2. My husband is home in the morning, so he will be the one dropping off kids at the daycare. What can i do in the evening to prepare? I've read some morning routines here on the website and have some ideas.. What lunch ideas can be prepared in advance?
3. I will be coming home and have both of my kids jumping on me. I will need to immediately nurse my son.. How do i make my daughter feel special? How do i "hug" them both considering i'll be nursing the little one...
Thank you! i'm totally lost and scared.....

I'm currently pregnant with my first, so I don't really have any useful advice. I have no idea if this is even reasonably possible, but, when you get home can you sit on the couch to nurse and talk to/pay attention to your DD at the same time? Is it possible to read a book to her?
