I'm Having A Baby!

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum. I got a link from someone I know on a horse forum.

I'm going to be a first time mommy in January! I'm very excited and very scared/nervous. But I have a very supportive husband.

The news of my pregnancy actually brought me and mother back together after not talking for a few months.

I'm 9 weeks along and just had my first OB appointment the other day...and now I'm looking for another doctor I was very uncomfortable with the whole appointment and he never asked me if I had any questions or concerns which leaves me even more terrified. He just up and left as soon as he was done. Though we did get to hear the baby's heartbeat! So I'm on the look out for a woman doctor and a friend of mine has already highly recommended one.

I'm really glad I was given the link to this site. I feel like I can only bug my mom so much and she's trying so hard to be supportive, though she's still shocked.

Names are already picked out (and they were decided on before we were married!).

I'm steadily losing weight and have a very hard time getting food into me and then keeping it down. I'm really hoping I'm lucky and it goes away soon and doesn't last the whole pregnancy.

Friday we get to see our baby for the first time!

I have another baby in my life. My horse He's almost 4 years old and I've had him since he was 45 days old. He's been the love of my life since the day I got him (and hubby knows this LOL). Lucky him will be getting another easy year of light work. But I enjoy just visiting with him at the barn and brushing him so it works out.

There's my little intro.

Welcome and congratulations!! Have you found the January due date club?

I envy the fact that you're a horse mom! I hope I am too someday.

I hope you are feeling better soon and that you can find another HCP that makes you more comfortable. They are a really important part of the experience, especially the first time around. Have you considered a midwife instead? Lots of us have had better luck connecting with midwives.

Thank you everyone

I have thought of a midwife and turns out my insurance DOES allow/cover midwives. I was on the search the other night but the search link page was broken.

JessieBird- Nice to see another horse person I almost feel bad I won't be working with my boy much this year, but he's slightly broken and the time off to grow some more will do him good. Or I'll just teach hubby to ride him haha

What's TTC? I'me trying to figure it out and can't LOL

Where do I find this January Due Date club? Looks like I'm on a mission!
