I'm so sorry! AF sucks big time. However... *whispers* this is our cycle! You can show AF to the door and tell her to stay away for 9 months, 'cause you and I are both getting pregnant this month!

But right now I think I'm 7dpo..I got dotted crosshairs. But I am pretty sure I O'd based on a thermal shift and Cm..I could possibly be a little more like 9dpo but I am holding out on testing as long as I can stand it!!!

This could be it though, we had some well timed BD'ing for both possible O dates..
for you! I sure do hope that your good timing pays off!

AFM, I'm SO excited to have gotten a + OPK on CD 16 Which was only 2 days later than the usual CD14. I wasn't sure what to expect or when i would actually O again due to the loss. I'm now on CD 18 and since I had major O pains on CD16, I'm guessing I O'd soon after I got the + OPK, so Im around 1 or 2 dpo.
Oh, a girls day sounds awesome! What did you do? I hope you stayed busy with your DH this weekend after your positive OPK!

We won't be telling anyone else (well, other that all of you, but I know you all can keep the secret! ) One of my hs friends was visiting from TX this week. She's an OB and I told her we were trying for another. I asked her for any tips for other things to try. We've been trying since January, but really trying since March. Still, it's 3 months of active trying. I'm 35 so I told her that if we aren't pg by the end of summer, I'm calling my doctor. She told me if she was my OB, she still wouldn't do anything other than some lab work until we were trying for a year because I've had such easy fertility before. Yes, but now I'm 35. And easy for her to say because she just had her 1st and they only want 1. My dh very much wants another and if doesn't ever happen I will feel terrible for him and a failure. Umm, so yes I will be calling my doctor at the end of the summer because of all that.

Can you tell my kids are all upstairs watching the blueberry muffins bake and aren't begging for their turn on the computer?
I'm very proud of how strong you are to stay away from the tests! Good for you! I am 100% with you on calling your OB if you're not pregnant by the end of the summer. I'm pretty sure that standard advice is that you should see your OB after 6 months of trying if you're over 35. I hope you don't have to go that route!

(It's actually been 5 days already) I am so relieved, it was so hard to see him in so much pain. Thank you all for your support! I hope to keep checking back and see all of your bfp's! I'm sorry for all of you who are out for this month, it would have been great to share a ddc club with you. But I know your ddc is waiting for you!
I'm so glad to hear that your son is doing better. That's great!

So I decided to kiss and make up...hahaha. And don't you know that my normally ready to go DH is suddenly a bit trigger shy and needs some convincing. Hmmmmmm....I think TTc can be a turn off to him. Know what I mean? Pressure... And for me, the day I ovulate I actually do not feel great. Pains in abdomen, back pain, feeling bloated. Are those normal o signs? Anyway we dtd and hopefully tommorow too . More on Monday...
Woo! Congrats on making up with your DH! I'm sorry he's a little trigger shy... I try to keep TTC out of the conversation when it comes to sex, so that DH doesn't feel any pressure. I think your O signs sound pretty normal. I have had some painful Os sometimes too.

Aw, I'm so sorry. I hope cycle #4 is your lucky cycle!

AFM - I feel SO optimistic about this cycle. I know it's only CD6, but for some reason I just have a good feeling. It's nice to feel that way. I had a really strange temp this morning though. I temped at my usual time and didn't check the temp before I went back to sleep. Then I woke up 45 minutes later, checked the thermometer, and I swore it said 97.78, which is really high for me at this part of my cycle. My thermometer only saves the temp to be checked once though, and I was doubting if my eyes were right, so I temped again and got 97.6. I put that temp in. It shouldn't matter much anyway at CD6, but I just thought it was odd. I'm really curious to see what tomorrow's temp will be.

DH and I got a lot done with getting our house ready to sell. I swear, it's like we have the longest to-do list in the world. But it is getting shorter. We are SO ready to sell our house and move. I hope that we can sell it quickly...

Hi! Well it looks like I'll be joining you lovely ladies as we decided to try for #2 this month! Since we kind of decided on a whim I haven't been temping until this morning, but here's my chart anyways: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2f5ac0

Sorry for the AFs!

Sorry for the AFs!
You've been added! Good luck. I like your chart so far.

mamalove- have you ever tried anything from like a girltoys party? They have this gel and it makes you & dh SUPER excited. Pure Satisfaction enhancement gel- it was on The Doctors and Oprah and works fabulously. I think there is a youtube video from the Doctors about it too. We love it

I started the 1500 mg of metformin this week, so this is the highest dose I've been on so far. It makes me sick to my stomach a lot. I think I need to start charting because I've given up on OPK tests since they are always positive and I don't think I ovulated at all. Must be the PCOS making hormones all the time. So I am going to sign up for an online fertility chart and try to figure out how to do that. And I think I need to buy a special thermometer? Or can I just use the one I use for the family?

Oh I'm also starting monthly massage and reiki therapy. Had my first treatment last saturday and it was amazing. She did a full body massage and reiki over my abdominal area. Hoping my period will start on its own this month, otherwise I have to wait til August to take the Progesterone again.

Keeping busy with reading the Short Second Life of Bree Tanner and quilting

Sweet Tea, You are right. It is time to have some more fun with this. It is just a hilarious process of putting on yo gabba gabba and getting DD involved with that. (I know, bad mama, but with opposite shifts sometimes we literally have maybe a 1/2 hour or something crazy like that. It is like you go from wiping poop, laundry, and dinner, to dtd and sometimes it can be less than romantic. LOL
Sorry about feeling sick. Hope it helps though.
Welcome chisub! Hope your stay is short and sweet!
Callie I bet THIS IS YOUR CYCLE!!!!
For those sweet sisters being visited by AF, so sorry.

I remember those days! For us it was Dora the Explorer and we'd tell her "Daddy and I are going to go and clean your room." Of course, she had no interest in that, so she never bothered us.

Hey mama's
Just wanted to stop by and say hi

Love it!

AFM, 3-4dpo depending on whether you go by fluid or not-so-reliable-at-the-moment temps... Busy and tired :yawning

I'm starting Provera today. It's been a month since the D&C, and nothing's going on. I can't handle anymore waiting without doing something.

Mollie - I'm glad you're starting the provera. All that waiting would drive me up the wall.

Lousli - You completely cracked me up with the "We're going to clean your room" thing. Hilarious!

mamalove1 - I can't imagine working opposite shifts and trying to find time to be intimate. I'm sure it does take a lot of the romance out of it. I hope you are able to make it more fun!

AFM - DH is finally really into the idea of getting pregnant again. Obviously he has wanted it this whole time, but now that he's out of school I guess he's ready to focus on it. He has brought it up several times and he even said the other day that it's the right time for us to have another baby. It makes me really happy to have him talk about it and get excited about it.

Tomorrow is my ultrasound. I'm really curious to know whether I'll find out anything at the appointment or if I'll have to wait for a follow-up appointment. I'm guessing I won't be able to figure anything out myself, but I guess we'll see.
Callie - the waiting has been driving me nuts! Waiting sucks, that's for sure! Hope your U/S goes well tomorrow, and it's good news! Glad your DH is getting in the groove !
Callie: Good luck on your ultrasound. Personally I have never been blessed with a tech that let me in on anything, it's alway "the doctor will call you". I hope you get a real talkative tech

AFM: Cd2. real boring. I need something to occupy my obsessions... I wish I could get myself obsessed with things like cleaning the house.
Soooooo, here we are Ladies.
Callie, good luck today!!!!
Mollie, waiting stinks! Hope the provera helps.
Louisli, too funny about cleaning her room. I am beginning to think that nickjr is the romantic foreplay for parents of toddlers.
Hi heavensearth and forthekids123!!!!
AFM- If OPK is negative after one day of positive, is that day I can assume I O'd? If so, I am 2DPO. Also, if three months in a row, I O on day 16, can I assume that is my O date? Or do I need to keep up the OPKS?
So far, no urge to test but I am calling my dear newly preggo friend today so we shall see.
Callie, for the ultrasound and for the hubby's enthusiasm!

Mollie, I hope the provera works quickly!

forthekids123, hope you find something fun to occupy your time and thoughts!

AFM, it's 4-5dpo, and it's DD's 3rd birthday! We already had the party with the grandparents this weekend - it was fun! In other news, our infertility referral went through, so we're getting the appt set up. They sent us an introductory packet, and it felt scarily official somehow. I have to keep reminding myself that we don't have to go any further down this road than we want to, and all we're looking for right now are some initial tests to see if something is wrong. It does sound like they'll start by testing DH, which is exactly what we were hoping for. Maybe we'll get pregnant before the appt , or maybe they'll send us home to keep trying for a few more months...

The letter in the packet did ask both of us to immediately start limiting caffeine to 1 cup or less a day and to totally eliminate alcohol, to increase our chances - we were already pretty low on both, so not too hard to do. It also asked me not to use herbal medicines, so I'll have to ask them about EPO, b/c I feel like that's been helping my CM. I'm also supposed to start using OPKs, which I've never done, b/c my charting seemed obvious enough. Any tips on OPKs, favorite brands, etc.?
hanging out for the weekend...

Mollie: I'm with you. It's hard to just sit and wait. Good for you for making a decision and moving forward.

justthinkn: fingers crossed that you can cancel the app't because you beat them to it! OPK's: I really liked the digital Clear blue easy. It was nice to take the guess work out of calling it positive or negative. Spendy though.
Justthinkin,
As far as OPK's go, I've had pretty good look with several different kinds. I got blazing positives on both the CVS brand (which are a pretty good deal for a drugstore brand, they have 20 in the tube for about $19 or $20) and also with saveontests. Both are the dip kind, but I know they make midstreams as well.

I'm sitting here drinking my one cup of coffee and wondering if I shouldn't cut coffee out entirely. I might kill people. I think I'll keep it to one a day for now and if this cycle is a bust, maybe try to wean off it next month.
Hi all- I'd love to join you all. DH and I just started TTC #2, and I'm in the 2ww right now.
So our appt is set for July 20th! It sounds like the first appt is just taking our history, and they explain to us all the tests they want us to do before we meet again. Then we come back for the first consultation appt after all the results are in... So we could get pregnant this cycle (#10) and skip the appt's all together, or perhaps next cycle and avoid the tests Either way I'm feeling good now that we might have answers sooner rather than later.

Thanks for the feedback on the OPKs! I think I may go for cheaper drugstore or dollar store types this first time and see how it goes for me...
