Grease from car on clothes

DHs car has black grease which dripped from inside the door onto the frame and somehow got on some of our clothes. I cannot get them clean. Anyone have any experience with this? It is almost tar-like black and sticky.

TIA!

My daughter just yesterday sat on the one spot on our driveway where my DH's car leaked oil in her leggings I had of course just bought. I scrubbed....for quite a while....with Simple Green and plain blue Dawn dishwashing soap and eventually it all came out.

Dawn dish soap, scrubbed with a toothbrush. If that doesn't work, google "stockhausen cupran special paint remover for hands". That stuff is MAGICAL.

thanks. I'll give it a try. This stuff is gooey and thick- I hope it works!

I managed to get grease (from our washing machine - a tie for a dress got out of the barrel ) out using tea tree oil after dish soap didn't work well enough.

Dish soap works well. If you don't mind a multi-level attack, I've also used Goo Gone to get the worst out, then Zout to remove any residual stain.

I've heard of people using hand cleaners that are made to remove grease (like GO-JO or Goop, etc) on fabric stains with good results.

Bi-O-Kleen makes soy based a de-greaser. It's a cleaner, I don't think it is really intended for laundry. It's very concentrated so I've diluted it with water and sprayed my husband's greasy Carharts/coveralls and it's taken the grease out.
degreaser

FYI...it's so concentrated it took me four years to use one bottle! I don't have too much grease to clean up. My husband uses it on grease spots on the garage floor.
