Making Arnica oil infusion, any advice

I've filled a potpourri crock with the dried herb then covered completly with Olive oil. I'm going to keep it steeping for about 6hr? I'd rather do it solar but need it now. Mil rolled her ankle and needs some asap. Does this sound right and can I use the oil straight or does it need to be dulited? I'm thinking of mixing with beeswax to make a salve for her but again didn't know if it needed to be dulited. Thanks for any and all help.....

Yes that sounds about right to me and no it does not need to be diluted. Salve sounds like a great idea!

Something I was told about using arnica is that it's best when used only on the hurt area. Not rubbed all over the back or limb.
