It took me all day Monday to speak to the vet and when I explained what I was seeing she agreed for me to bring him in the next day. Sidney lost a few more ounces over the four days since we last saw her. She felt around and realized he was a bit constipated and so she was able to 'clean him out'. When she returned from doing that, she told me after she was able to feel a tumor that had grown around the circumference of his colon 
She saw fresh blood, from the tumor she felt, and also saw the digested blood that I was noticing on the floor. She explained there was most likely another tumor up higher in his system- hence the digested blood.
So, our plan is to keep him comfy as long as we can. She gave me lactolose to help keep his poop soft as we can so it doesn't get stuck and I am feeding him super premium prescription food. I have no idea how long he will be with us.
