Accidently pureed prune pit with prunes, is this a problem?

Yesterday, I cooked up some prunes with an apple and a few peaches for our DD's (9.5 months) "poop sauce." When I was blending it, I heard something that sounded like a pit hitting the blades, but I never found it, even though I poured out the puree and looked. I blended it quite a bit after that and kept hearing the pit but could never find it. Then, today when I was freezing the rest of the puree, I found a small piece of a pit. Is this bad if DD eats it with her puree? I don't want her insides to get cut up (like if you accidentaly swallow glass or something sharp). It's a pretty small piece, but was hard and sharp. I don't want to waste the food if possible, but I'd rather waste it if it could harm her.

Any thoughts??

Thanks!!

Run it through a sieve.

Yes, run it through a sieve. I did the same thing the first time I made prunes and it was only later that I found a MUCH bigger chunk that he would have easily choked on. Fortunately, I spotted it with the spoon before it got his mouth, but even after searching through the puree, I didn't find it until then.

if the goal is to soften her poops, don't ya think that a ground up prune pit is going to have the OPPOSITE effect and be constipating? it's not bone, but it's almost as hard.

i would pitch this and not feel bad about it, since there is also the reason of potential shards of cutting up and choking material in there.

Yep, I ended up throwing it out. I hate doing that, but safety first! I'm just going to run the new batch through the sieve!
