This rash ugh!

I've had this rash on my face for the past three weeks. I have an appt. with a dermatologist in four days but my anxiety level is rising because it is not getting better.
It is on my eyelids, runs along my nose, in front of my nostrils and on my chin. It mostly flesh colored, flat, not oozing, not itching. I've tried hydro cortisone, bendaryl and now flax seed oil. Today I wake up, it is dry and slightly flaky but definitely still there. I had a friend who is a nurse practitioner look at it. She said it's not impetigo, scabies or ringworm however, she was not able to identify it. I have mad crazy anxiety and so my mind is running wild with what it could be. I've not made any major changes to my diet and the only med I take is synthroid which I've been on for years.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Does it look like this? It could be psoriasis.

I know. I took a photo but it just wasn't clear enough. I'll try again later.

Well, it sort of looks like that except I didn't think that black people got psoriasis. However, it sort of resemble that. hmmm.
I promise to try and upload a photo in a few hours.

You guys are great for trying to help!!

ETA: There is no discomfort or itching at all. It feels tender when I accidentally rub it but other than that, I'm not bothered. *sigh*. I am getting so anxious about this.

I would switch to hypoallergenic everything for a while. It IS possible to develop an allergy over time. Also, if you came in contact with something casually, rubbed your eyes, and didn't think about it again it's possible that could be doing it.

The picture is fuzzy so it's hard to tell what it really looks like.

Also, you said that you're developing anxiety over this. If that wasn't an overstatement and it's really causing anxiety then it could be related to that as well.

And, I looked it up, black people CAN get psoriasis as well...so don't rule it out.

Thank you! Sorry for the fuzzy pic--new cell phone. Now you have me wondering about psoriasis. It sure is flaking but certainly not itching. Yup, the anxiety is mounting but I'm trying to put a lid on that too.

ETA: I'm also wondering about yeast....

I went to a site where you can submit a picture and get an opinion from a dermatologist. He thinks it's seborrheic dermatitis. Additionally, he made suggestions for treatment, of course which require a prescription. I can't wait to get to the derm on Tuesday. Hopefully, she'll agree and I can relax again!!
Thanks again, lovelies!

This runs in DH's family actually. He and his brothers (and his dad) get a dandruff on crack kind of thing going on. His youngest brother is the worst as it gets all yellow and scaly.

Good luck with your appointment! I hope that we helped a little bit with the anxiety!

I know Nizoral shampoo (available over the counter) helps with seb derm, but not sure if you can use it on your face (I'd be a bit nervous putting it on my eyelids). Maybe do a little on-line searching to see if it would be ok.

Good luck mama, keep us posted!

Yes, I feel so relieved. My anxiety was fueled, in part, because my dad just lost vision in his left eye due to staph. This was so close to my eye, it sent my anxiety through the roof.

I went to the pharmacy and looked at the Nizoral but decided since this was so close to my eyes, not to take a chance. However, I found some ointment for babies that soothes eczema. I've been using a q-tip to apply it lightly around the eye lids.

Thanks again for the support and suggestions. You can't imagine how reassuring it was!
