America's Got Talent! - Page 2

i was not wowed by anyone this week.
surprisingly, as i normally strongly dislike Hannibal, I rather liked his song this week.
and even though I LOVE Ronith, that was bad. not even bad-funny like the audition round, just bad.

I did like some of the acts that night but my favorites all went on through. I guess everyone else agreed

Hannibal is so strange! I couldn't stop staring at penguin hat "Penguins?!?!?!?" They were right in front dancing, penguin during Lion King. It was distracting

I agree, I liked him better scruffy. Since I have curly hair it annoys me when they straighten curly hair. His looked better before they messed with it

So I totally don't get Piers' love for the vulnerable singing girl. She just wasn't that good tonight, too breathy and seemed out of tune in a lot of parts.

I was actually laughing at Chipps Cooney when they all three buzzed him.

I don't get it either, Viola. She did not sing well last night. I was kind of grossed out by Chipps, but I got what he was trying to do.

Last night wasn't a great set. I'm looking forward to next week!

I was in hysterics at the moment they buzzed him.... he was giving them change!! for the dollar they stuffed in his waistband!! change!!

I laughed when he gave them change from one of those change thingies like the ice cream man uses, and then the one woman tried to grab the whole change thing because she wanted more.

I wasn't happy that Debra got through. She wasn't any better than Luigi, and the woman from Strange Familiar has a better voice, imo, although I didn't think her performance was all that great. She should have sung the Fleetwood Mac song instead.

Michael Grimm is fantastic! And I love Gabourey Sidibe's mom (sorry, can't remember her name.) I hope one of those two take it this time around.

I think its Alice Tan Ridley. And I can't say I'm too impressed by her!

The vocalists this last week were all pretty terrible, IMO.

GOOD RIDDANCE CJ DIPPA!!! that kid just rubbed me the wrong way. I think its mean to root for the failure of a 12 year old, but i just was pleased as punch when he didn't make it. I knew he didn't have a chance when he went up against Haspop!

I came on here looking for this thread to reassure me that I wasn't the only one who thinks Debra is not a good singer. She was flat and her voice is really thin. She seems very sweet, but I just don't get it. I actually thought Luigi was way better. Strange Familiar was actually pretty good, I thought. The musicianship in that band is great, though something about the lead singer brings to mind a band that should headline a cruise ship.

I have a soft spot for the nerdy cyclist guy.

I have never really understood before when people refer to a vocal performance as "watery" but that was the best way i would describe all three of them. I wanted them all to turn up the volume and the intensity. they were just flat, quiet, boring and watery for me. and I have no idea why Piers gave her a standing ovation. I kept cringing on missed notes and expecting a buzz from him.

also, Howie was really annoying with the belly dancers. yes, they have nice bodies. yes, they move them in pleasing ways. get over it.
Yeah. And it was pretty clear that the belly dancers were thinking the same thing!
