I just recently started listening to them, and either bedtime or first thing in the morning works best for me (I'm usually awake about an hour before the kids). I've found that at least one of the tracks (Painless Childbirth) ends with the suggestion of waking up and being awake and alert... and this works as intended. I guess that proves that I'm actually taking things in and getting some sort of benefit, and not just sleeping through the whole thing.
So far, I haven't actually had any trouble falling back to sleep pretty quickly afterwards, but I'm not sure how effective it would be as an actual sleep aide
There might be another track that would work better.
