Spinners?

Any spinners around here? I've finally gotten my foot in the door. I had a spinning lesson last night, and loved it! This morning I went back to the shoppe and purchased my wheel.

I am so envious! I would love a wheel. Actually I should take that back...I'm so not coordinated to work a wheel. I do love my drop spindles though. I'm working my way through some super soft llama fiber on one spindle and some nice gray wool on another.

Have fun with spinning. It gets to be addictive!!!

I bought a wheel a couple months ago and I'm totally addicted. Every night I spend time either spinning or knitting, that soft whirring sound is so soothing and can help me unwind after a stressful day. I hope you enjoy it

I agree, spinning is so relaxing. It can also become expensive! So much pretty fiber to be had. I use a spindle most of the time and rent a wheel occasionally. I would love to buy one though.

I love it so much. I have my wheel on Layaway and I have been using a spindle too. I've been so fortunate to find a great teacher. I have been spinning on the same kind of wheel that I am purchasing but every time I have to leave my lesson without my wheel I want to cry.

I find that all I want to do is spin. My poor husband and children suffer because of my obsession but I just...can't....stop. I just can't get enough.

For those who use a spindle and a wheel, is there anything that you can do on a wheel that you can't on a spindle?

That is something I really need to do...I want more yarn and I want it now!!!
Spinning wheel is on my wish list but it looks like I will not get one anytime soon since my dh (and d does not mean dear or darling) has decided he's leaving me and the kids.

Oh Shianne! That's awful. I am so sorry this is happening to you. What a crappy thing.

Thanks. I thought we were working things out. But oh well.

One a wonderful note I just picked up 3 very large Border Leicester fleeces. It is so springy and soft. I have white, grey and a reddish brown. I will be a busy person!!!
