What time of day did you go into labour?

I read somewhere once that the most common time that labour starts is during the night, and I'm wondering if this is true. What are your experiences? What time of day did you go into labour?

My contractions with DD started at 3 am, so it's true for me, but I'm curious about when this next one will start...

I bolted upright out of bed at 5:45am when my water broke. contractions started after that ...

I apparently slept through early labor. Labor noticeable enough to wake me up started around 5-530am and DD was born at 1054am.

I started latent phase contractions at 4am... and started active labor at 4am the next day.

Full on labor by about 11pm, DD born at 6am.

Exactly 2:10am. I started contracting regularly then, water broke around 9 or 10am and baby was born at 6pm.

It does seem like nighttime is very common...

Water broke suddenly at 3am in bed. Baby was out by 5:45 am. Didn't get the license plate of the truck that hit me! LOL

with my first i was induced (preE) so i wentin labor early. with my others it was late evening

With DD1 I woke up at 12:50 am with something the (maybe? possibly? but not entirely sure) could have been a contraction. She was born at 2:57 am.

Similar with DD2 - woke up with a "maybe?" at 6:30 am, she was born at 8:41 am.

Each night now I go to bed wondering if it's going to happen again tonight!

Between 5-6 am, for 3 children.

#1 - induced
#2 - Contractions started 11pm, she was in my arms 40 minutes later :
#3 - started around 6pm, out by 8:30pm
#4 - water broke 2:15am, had to push 15 min. later, but babe ended up hanging out till 7am

Okay I'll weigh in then...

DS1 went into labor in the middle of church, so probably 10 am? He was born the next afternoon at 3:14 pm.

DD labor started at 2:45am and she was in arms at 6:45.

Twins- preterm labor kicked in at 2:00am. Got it stopped and went home. Preterm hit again, this time at 8:00pm. Got it stopped and went home. The real thing hit at 5:00 pm with a giant contraction and bloody show. They were born at 1:00 and 1:28 am.

I'm all over the board here.

My labor began around 5 pm-ish. It was still light out because I was getting ready to take our dogs for a walk. Baby was born around 11 pm.

Wow!!! This is exactly what I'm afraid will happen to me -- even shorter than last time, say maybe an hour total?!

We have to drop our DD off with relatives on the way to the hospital (will take a total of 35-40 minutes). It could be a close call!

And while I appreciate a short labor in some ways, it can be damaging to the pelvic floor and hips, it's very overwhelming, and baby can also not get enough squeezing to empty fluid out of the lungs, or end up bruised and jaundiced. Some of which happened last time, so I don't really want an even shorter labor than last time...

First contractions were at 2:30am, after we finished watching Terminator 3.

Early (calm) labor in the morning for each birth.
Mind numbing (hard) labor in the evening for each birth.
Delivery (spectacular) in the morning for each birth. In fact, they were born an hour apart on their respective birthdays.
