2nd son, vbac, was midnight when my water broke. born at 9:15 am

With DD went into labour about 6 pm after an extremely stressful day and having been up since 6am. She was born just before 3pm the next day.

This time I'd like labour to start in the morning after a decent night's sleep, please!

I woke up at 2:30AM with strong contractions. My son was born just over 2 hours later.

Wow, I'm also surprised that almost all of these started at night! For me, first contraction was Sunday around 1 pm. Labor was fast, but then stalled, and didn't deliver until 7 am the next morning.

With DD (my first), I lost mucous plug about midnight, went back to bed and slept fine. I felt "odd" all morning, but figured I could not be in labor since I was not due for another 6 weeks. I noticed some leaking about 3pm, but was still deep in denial. Finally around 4pm, I figured something was up. Went to hospital at 6pm, had baby at 8:52pm. Contractions were only noticeable for the last two hours or so.

With both DSs, Water broke at 11:30 pm exactly, with contractions beginning immediately. DS1 was born at 1:56am, DS2 was born at 10:07am

Latent labour from 6 pm Friday night to 6 pm Saturday night. Things sped up throughout Saturday night, strong and regular by 4 am. Went to the birthing centre at 5 am. Pushing started at 8 am and born at 11 am Sunday.

So my first was a bit of a slow poke! Though it didn't hurt much and I appreciated the time to really understand and experience what was going on. I wasn't really aware of how long it was taking.

Still I sure hope it's faster the second time around!

With DD I woke up around 5am with terrible cramps, and was admitted to the hospital around 11? Had her at 5 : ]

DS1 water broke spontaneously at 12:30am while I was sleeping (the huge pop-well more of a thud- woke me up), born at 5am. DS2 labor started at 1:10am, born at 7pm. I would like to split the difference this time!

DS was induced at like 11am, but thats induction

DD I noticed the labor start around midnight.

Myself however, it was late afternoon before my mom started getting signs.

6am for number 1, water broke in bed. 2 am for number 2, same dealie, except I had a major contraction to go with it.

With dd my first real contractions started as I climbed into bed. I looked at the clock and it was exactly midnight. She still has a flair for the dramatic.

With ds I took a nap, woke up around 3 pm and started having contractions.

10pm with my first (active labor started at 1am) babe was born via c/s a 2am the next day=28 hours of labor-5 hours pushing

2pm with my second (active labor started at around 10pm)babe was born (VBAC) at 11:15am=21 hours of labor- 4 hours pushing

Ds1: induced so no data.

Ds2: 2:30 a.m., didn't realize it until 4:30 a.m.

Dd: 11:00 p.m. water broke, labor began 3:30 a.m.

We used to breed dogs, and I can tell you that 3 a.m. is pretty standard for a mammal labor!

That's funny, because it seems like 3AM is a favorite wake up time well into the second year in this house.

DS- Thought something was up at 12PM, labor started for sure at 6PM, born at 2:22PM the next day.

DD- Woke up with strong ctx at 5:30AM, born at 11:30 AM.

DS1 -- induction.

DS2 -- painless contractions started around 11:30 a.m., stronger ones hit around 6:30 that night, then picked up a ton around 8:00, after ds1 was asleep. DS2 was born at 5:52 p.m. the next day.
