Best pocket or aio for out and about

For DD we used fitteds and covers for everything, but they were a hassle when out and about and very bulky in the diaper bag. I think for DS on the way that we are going to get a few pockets or aio strictly for outings. Any suggestions on the simplist and that don't take up ALL the room in the diaper bag?

The two I've really been looking at are GroBaby and bumGenius one-sized pocket V3.0

BG Organic AIO is the smallest. Not much bigger than a disposable and it still works very well. I don't really like the BG 3.0 pockets, they hold smells no matter what you do.

My BG don't smell but I do use Tide (liquid) on them, they did before I switched to Tide though, ugg. I have the BG organic and the liner twists sometimes because of the way it's attached and the drying time is long. I do like it though, and AIO's are easy. I personally like the FB, they easily dry overnight and are very trim and easy to bring in the diaperbag. I have no smell issues with FB.

I don't see the point in an AI2 for the diaper bag bc it is too much hassle to swap out the insert while holding squirming baby with one hand in a tiny public toilet with no changing table.

We use AI2s at home but I have a couple of BG sized AIOs for the diaper bag. I like them bc with Velcro they go on super fast.

I have one BG 3.0 pocket that I bought to try and I just don't like pockets. Don't like to deal with stuffing them. Hate the snap-down rise as well. But that's a personal choice, the dry time on the AIO is a big pain as well so pick your poison. HTH

I usually stuff a BG or FB pocket with a flat to keep in the diaper bag, though sometimes I just throw a cover and a couple of prefolds in there, and then I can use them for unexpected messes!

My go-to is a BG AIO (the sized version). I find them extremely trustworthy when on the road. Thirsties AIOs work very well too - they're trim and hold in the messes that seem to squish out so well in a car seat or carrier. I think the sized AIOs are discontinued now but I suspect the Duos are as good. Happy Heinys are the other ones that make it into the diaper bag.
