So TTC Experts, why do you keep testing OPK until you get a negative? The box says to stop at your first positive. Just curious...

well, i do it because so far for every cycle, i o on the first day of neg opks after pos. whether i have 1 pos or 2 days of pos's, the next day when it goes neg is the day i o. so that's helpful for me. i dont think it's a bad idea to keep testing, at least once, to see how long it stays pos, too. if you were say to get 5 or 6 days of positives, that would be a clue that something is up with your ovaries- like pcos for example, so it's just another bit of info when ttc.

I did when ttc my younger daughter, and I did last cycle too, and now I'm starting to think it gives me tmi about my cycle and ultimately may end up confusing me and Fertility Friend (and the other charting software I use) a little. It seems that I have a loooooong lh surge, like 3 days or so. Fertility friend assumes you'll o between 1-3 days after your positive OPK, so when i get a positive for 3 days in a row and o on the third day, it is wacky.

This cycle I plan to start testing CD 10 and test only until I get a +.
