Giving Blood and TTC ?

Soooo Can you do it ?

Iv gave blood a few times before but have stopped recently since im TTC and dont want anything messing me up in a sense

Im AB- and im constantly getting letters from the NHS to give... as its a rare type

Can I and still be ok ?

hmmm. that's another one of these questions- to what extent do we carry on like normal people, and to what extent do we put our lives on hold? i wonder what the blood bank folks would say if you asked them? i havent given in a long time, but i think maybe i remember you can only give once every....3 months is it? so if it takes 3 months to replenish say, that's a bit iffey, since by 6 wks or so of pg, your body is already working overtime to make extra blood volume. then again, how much is one pint missed? if you drink a ton of fluid, do it very early in the cycle, and take your iron in your pnv, maybe? i have the feeling though the blood bank people would say you maybe should just wait till after the baby you are soon to conceive is born and you are fully recovered!
