TTC - Urine Cloudy

We have been doing the OPK tests and they turned positive. The basal temp is starting to inch higher from a basal of 97.25. The deed (with pre-seed to help the swimmers along their merry way) was done on the 14th day. Two days later (this AM), my urine was incredibly cloudy in the sample I saved for OPK test (my hubby wants to continue testing OPK till it goes negative again).

I let this sample stand and there's no settling or sediment. This sample of urine showed the brightest positive coloration, in the OPK test, of all I have done this cycle compared to the other positive results.

What could be going on?

if you dont have any other symptoms, probably nothing. when you pee in a cup, you can get semen mixed in there, mucous, skin cells, pee can have crystals in there from metabolism, all kinds of things. i would not worry about one cloudy urine at all. it's a different story if you have pain and frequency, or fever, or something else funky going on. but otherwise, dont worry.

and you know with opks that the line has to be AT LEAST as dark- indistinguishable- or darker than the control line to be +, right? before you o, your temp will go up and down a bit in the lower range too- there isnt one "basal temp" per se- your basal temp is your first temp in the morning each day, after at least 3 hours of sleep, taken before you do anything else- no matter if that's a low temp or a high temp- it's just the temp of your body at it's most basic function level. you see a thermal shift after o- a jump to a higher range, which will probably be in the next day or 2 for you, if it's a blaring positive opk today. you will confirm o with a sustained thermal shift. fertilityfriend.com has a great free charting course with info that might help you out. good luck!

Thank you Karmab!

No pain, fever or any other discomfort other than the discomfort of seeing something I have not seen before.

This AM, too, I see the same cloudiness. But, my second void was usual color and Clear!

As far as OPKs go, they have been as strong as the control color. When negative, I barely see the test light up. So, O+ looks clearly O+.

When will I see that go back to O-? Today was Day 17 and I tend to have 28 day cycles (+/-1).

On Day 14 and Day 16, the swimmers were let loose with one day gap as day of rest.

most women have 1-2 days of +opks. if you have much more than that, it could be a sign of a problem like pcos, but if your cycles are normal length etc, that's probably not an issue for you. most women o 12-48 hours after the first pos opk, with an avg of 36 hours, so you should see your temp shift starting tomorrow or the next day.

Today is day 18 (Day 2 at sea) and my OPK was -ve and temp is coming back down. Urine clear.

So, this cycle, near as far as I can discern +ve from -ve OPK tests, my first +ve was Day 13 in the evening. And only today was I able to discern a clear -ve (Day 18).

My temps (my hubby takes the temp when I half asleep)

Day 12 = 97.25
Day 13 = 97.28
Day 14 = 97.51
Day 15 = 97.95
Day 16 = 98.03
Day 17 = 98.33
Day 18 = 97.80

So, my max deflection up was Day 16?

Thanks
