Should I let my infant sleep with me in night?

There are many different opinion about sleeping with baby in night.
My sister sleeps with her baby girl all the way until 4 years now, and she is still sleep with her. And so does my friend.
I am worried that if my baby will not be independent later if I sleep with her for too long.

So, my questions is, how long should I sleep with my baby? What is the best for them.

In many cultures around the world, children sleep with parents for years. You can't spoil a baby by giving them too much love.

Only you can answer the question of how long, or should you or not--you have to decide if it's best for you and your baby.

As long as you and your baby enjoy and find comfort in it, often many of us cosleep well into the elementary ages.

For me, it was until age 2. That's when it went from all of us enjoying it, to not getting enough sleep and bugging each other. This is different for everyone and you have to just do what is best for you and your babe. I do believe that the vast majority of babies benefit from sleeping with their parents if done safely. The length of time that lasts depends on the baby.

Whats best for her is what is best for your family. We co-sleep with both my girls and we love it. My youngest still nurses all night and my 3yo sleeps all night. We love the closeness and the ability to fulfill their needs day and night. In my experience my oldest is a very independent and secure little girl, too secure if you ask me. I attribute her independence at her knowing that no matter what her parents have always been there for her. I'm not trying to say that if you dont cosleep she will think otherwise, but this is how it is for my family. Good Luck with your decision. And remember, you cant spoil a baby.
