TTC and Hormone Levels~confused~!!

Hello ladies!
I'm new to the forum and welcome any advice/help you can give. I'll try to keep this brief...

At a routine physical a few months ago my PCP said my thyroid felt enlarged. A thryoid ultrasound and blood test lated and I was diagnosed with a multinodular goiter. My TSH was 3.6 and my FT4 was 1.10. DH and I are know trying to conceive so I called my ENT to see if I needed eval. sooner than september (my 6 month follow up, I'm not on any treatment currently).

I went to my ob who said I should be fine, but would do a blood test just to screen. I should add that these were drawn on day 14 of my cycle. I was on the mini pill for the past two years and had stopped three weeks before this test. My levels were:

FSH-6.13
LH-11.11
Estradiol-87.23
Prolactin-19.52
TSH-2.2
FT4-1.12

Ob wants me to get Prolactin re-tested on Monday. I'm confused by this, is my level too high?? Because it does fit within my labs ranges...and is my lh/fsh ratio bad? I've heard it should be 1:1 and mine was 1:1.8. Sorry for all the questions, this is all just really new to me!

there are ladies here who are very knowlegable about thyroid levels, so i am sure someone more qualified than me will answer that. re: the fsh/lh, i dont think at cd14 that is out of the ordinary for a ratio. when you o, your lh will surge up past 40. i think when they talk about the ratio for things like pcos, they are talking about cd3 bloodwork. same goes for estradiol i think. it varies based on what's happening in your cycle, you know? are you charting so you know what's going on with ovulation etc now that you are off bc?

I haven't started charting yet, I've been reading up on it and plan to start next cycle (if need be). Any thoughts on the prolactin? Thanks so much for your input on the other levels as well!

I don't know much about your other levels but I have hypothyroidism and in order to TTC doctors say your TSH should be between 1-2 and the highest. Yours is still slightly higher but if you can bring it down with meds you should be ok. My TSH started out at 326.6 and took 10 months to come down to normal. Good luck to you!

Good to know! Thanks! I wonder if I should ask about meds then? For now my ob seems mostly concerned with the prolactin, which I don't really understand because it's within the lab's normal range??
