My dog is getting progressively more deaf, and it's making me nervous. It's too easy to sneak up on him, especially if there's any background noise (hardly ever noisy around here, but still. Ha!)
Anyway, when I did daycare I would put his bed on the landing and put up the babygate at the bottom of the stairs, and he was reasonably happy. If I try to put him away in any bedroom or outside away from me, he just stands at the door and drools like crazy. He will drool a puddle about six inches wide in less than 10 minutes. It's disgusting.
So, I'm thinking that to protect my kids, it might work if he was in a crate. Or maybe just one of those corral things? I'm afraid he would try to jump on it or jump out, though.
