Mail-order goose liver!!

Found it!! Goose liver, the fatty kind, is one of the richest sources of K2. But usually there's lots of cruelty and grain used to get their livers to the fatty stage. I found an online place that offers fattened livers from a natural diet, and will ship! Here they are:

We are planning to use this as our "pill" liver for my son, who can only do the CLO/BO combo twice a week or less due to a health condition. Yay!

I know!! So excited. I'm ordering on Tuesday. I'm pretty sure it will be a better deal per dose than the butter oil, but I'm trying to confirm that by finding out how much K2 butter oil provides. I can't find that info anywhere. Is it just me, or do they not provide amounts? That's weird if they don't.

Just sent Dave an email asking about the amount of K2 in each dose of butter oil.

Oh goodness gracious sakes alive, the shipping is $34.27. Well, that sort of takes away the "more economical than butter oil" aspect of it. Back to searching for a local source.

If you live close to them, the shipping would be much cheaper, using UPS normal prices. Here is what they say:

"CHEAP SHIPPING - If your product is shipping to: SOUTH DAKOTA, NORTH DAKOTA, MINNESOTA, WISCONSIN, ILLINOIS, NEBRASKA, AND PARTS OF IOWA; you may qualify to ship your product UPS Ground to arrive in 1 or 2 days. Unfortunately, we cannot offer this online, but the price is substantially cheaper and we want to give you the best shipping price possible. If you qualify for UPS Ground shipping, we will contact you - or call us at 877-872-4458 to see if this shipping option is available for you and the price."

Do you know if regular duck liver has lots of K2? If so... come on over to VT and share in the weath.

A local amish farmer raises ducks free range fo market and usually tosses out the livers. I asked him to save them for me, and he agreed and doesn't even want money for them. So sometime next week when e does his big processing, I should have 80 duck livers!

Come vacation and have some my fellow bird.

80 duck livers???? My goodness, you are a treasure-finder!!! That's great.

I've read people postulating that duck livers must also have high K2, but I've never seen a test of it. It would make sense that whatever waterfowl-ish things that makes goose fat store K2 would also be happening in ducks.

I know folks who live in VT. You guys seem like a cool bunch up there. Your invitation made me smile! I've always thought of you as a fellow bird, too!

Have fun with your duck livers.
