I think you're right. He works at 7-11 and is constantly eating hot dogs and slurpees. I tried packing a lunch for him but he won't eat it. I even brought him a strawberry, peach, kale smoothie with a wheatgrass chaser. He acted like he was going to drink it, but I saw him pour it down the drain of the slurppe machine and fill the cup with a coke slurppe instead

I suppose I'm just fed up cause he gave me and the cat a dutch oven this morning, ugh

Have you explored the possibility of lactose intolerance?

Hmmm I wouldn't say a detox. I would think it would be a food sensitivity issue like milk or even gluten? Dh has the same problem it's horrible!!! But He isn't willing to change his diet so there's not much I can do. You could try digestive enzymes and a probiotic perhaps?

I feel your pain

Lactose intolerance is most common cause.

Lactose free dairy includes butter and aged cheeses like cheddar and monterey jack and many others, have to be aged over 60 days and then the fermentation process digests the lactose. But not processed cheeses, mozzarella or goat cheese or cream cheese for example.

I didn't know that lactose intolerance was so common. I'll talk to dp about it and see if he's willing to stop consuming lactose for awhile so we can see if there is a change.

Most people of the world are unable to digest lactose, from what I have heard. While my digestive problems have not gone away with giving up dairy, it has helped significantly. I used to get gas pains so bad that I didn't realize I was in labor with my DD! It was back labor, & since I had no bloody show or any other signs of impending birth, I just figured it was another attack of gas. (And yes, the pain of those attacks of gas was that bad!)
