My 13mo DD has gotten progressively 'worse' with her sleeping as she gets older, meaning that she requires more and more assistance for a longer period of time. At the moment, she nurses between 7pm and about 10pm, non-stop, before she'll finally stay asleep enough for me to transfer her. I'm feeling frustrated, annoyed, and burnt out. After 3 hours of sucking, her nursing starts to make my skin crawl. I have a very active preschooler who doesn't nap, so the time after both of them go to bed is my only 'me' time. At the moment, I'm not getting any time to myself. I'm tired and ready for bed long before DD will stay asleep. I want to eat dinner with both hands again. She still nurses through the night, and 1-2 hourly during the day, and eats 3 meals and 2 snacks a day of solid food.
Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do? How long did it last for?
I'd really appreciate any suggestions, or commiserations, or normalising my experience, because amongst my friends, I'm starting to feel like I'm the only one going through this.
