I am about 5ish weeks pregnant...and I have had what feel like menstrual cramps. I have not had any bleeding, just cramping. Should I be concerned and freaking out?

I'm also about 5 weeks pregnant, and I've also had strange sensations, some of which feel like cramping, ever since ovulation. My acupuncturist says it is normal, so hopefully he is right!

I had tons of menstrual like cramping throughout my frst pregnancy. Sometimes it would make me nervous because they were uncomfortable for sure. My Dr. reassured me that it was just my uterus stretching and everything moving around in there. This pregnancy I had lots of menstrual like cramping through the first trimester. Again, I was freaked out something was wrong but it was just the baby getting comfortable and everything moving around. I am sure that is what you are going through too. Especially if you haven't had any spotting or bleeding. I have seen lots of women post about this so it must be pretty common.

it's totally normal to have mild cramping early on. i had what felt like mild/moderate menstrual cramps everyday from about 5-7 weeks. i had some brown (old) spotting around 8 weeks, which was actually implantation spotting that had taken a few weeks to work its way out. that lasted about two days.

anyway, i thought of the cramping as the embryo working its way into my lining, and my uterus getting used to it. unless it gets intense or you get red bleeding along with it, don't worry.

I had mild cramping everyday for the first month or two. Then it went away for good! Cramping is normal!!

I also had cramping my entire first trimester. Early on I had the exact same cramps as I would have had I gotten my period.

i had pretty bad cramping from 4-7 weeks, they ended last week pretty much completely.

i was really worried even though everyone told me it was ok, i finally went in and got a u/s at 6w4d to double check everything and it was totally fine just like everyone said.

they said that of course it was the uterus stretching and also the corpus luteum that sticks around for the first few months to product the much needed progesterone

i totally understand the worry, not much can calm you, just want you to know that so many of us have been there just like you
