Breastmilk has 22 cal/oz. Whole milk has 19.

I always thought there is quite a variation in human milk regarding its fat and calorie intake.

There is, within feedings, over the course of a day, and as a baby gets older. But the numbers are averages - so maybe foremilk has 18 cal/oz and hindmilk has 26 cal/oz (I don't know, I'm just using random numbers), but over the course of a feeding, the average is 22 cal/oz.
