I just saw this on HBO-- it's a new movie; it was a Sundance film. Anyway, it was AMAZING!!! It's about women's fight for the vote.

Anyone else catch it?

Yes, I saw it it was very good but I did miss the verybeginning and some parts actually made me cry(happy). I rarely do that so it must have been good.

Yes, I saw it when it first came out on HBO. I was looking forward to that movie for at least a month prior to it coming out! I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk of it, but hey, The Passion of Christ overshadowed it. I loved it. The whole idea that the radicals helped push the movement forward... I can see it happening now... the "radical" homosexuals getting married are pushing forward the process of making homosexual marriages legal all over the US.

I thought the movie was excellent. Most high school history textbooks blithely list giving women the right to vote as one of Woodrow Wilson's presidential achievements, when in reality he was too weak to continue opposing it. Women fought very hard for very long to have their right to vote added to the Constitution. They deserve all the credit and this movie does a wonderful job of detailing that reality.
