I've been avoiding peanuts/peanut butter, as a precaution, since ds birth 18 months ago. He reacts to other foods I eat (dairy, egg), and I was just being cautious (paranoid? Lol) and leaving nuts and peanuts out too. I've had that blood test that checks for....something. I can't remember right now, it might have been ELISA (that is the name of a blood test, isn't it) and did not show any reaction to peanuts. The other day ds got a hold of a piece of waffle with pb on it and has not had any reaction that I can detect. Is there any reason for me to continue to avoid peanuts? I know this probably sou ds crazy, but I'm sure someone out there understands my hesitancy and I figured if there was a reason to add it back in you all would.
Thanks for reading my rambling post and for any insight.
