can b6 delay a period past 14days?

Hi, my period was due yesterday. Bfn too. Ive been getting spotting and cramping this whole cycle, but i believe the progesterone (90mg down from 200mg last cycle) i have been taking, stopped any impending period. (i take it because i am breastfeeding and have a short luteal phase)
I have stopped the progesterone completely (gradually since day10) and no period! No cramping, nothing!

I felt like my period almost started yesterday 14dpo, but then the intense cramping stopped, and there was just a tiny bit of spotting.

I starting taking 100mg of vit b6 on 12dpo of my cycle. This went up from my usual 25mg in my prenatal.

Does anyone have any experience with b6 delaying a period like this? I know it helps to extend your luteal phase while breastfeeding, so its plausible.
I also took 75mg of soy isoflavones on days 4 and 5 of my cycle, but stopped. You are supposed to take it for 4 days to encourage ovulation, but if you already ovulate, it can delay or suppress O. It can apparently also cause spotting. So maybe this is the cause.

According to temps shifts, i am pretty sure i O'd.
Also, my temps were high this whole luteal phase, even while spotting.

Am going to see a doctor, but have a feeling they will know jack sh*t about any of these things. They dont seem to know anything about breastfeeding.

Grateful for any help/advice/btdt

didnt you have a similar question last cycle, maya? i remember talking about the gradual decrease in progesterone having this effect, vs an abrupt stop to it. p4 has a very long half-life- 55 hours. with gradually decreasing it, your body isnt getting the message it's not still coming (like it would from a corpus luteum if you were pg.)

Gosh, thanks for remembering! I guess this time i was so worried all along about early AF because of spotting and cramping, and when the time comes, its all gone!
I was taking less than half the does of progesterone this month too....

In any case, i read somewhere that a combo of motrin and b6 could delay a period (if you wanted it ) which is something i would never try. But have not seen any other info about b6 in this context.

I thought maybe i had done something weird to my cycle by taking the soy isoflavones...

I hope youre right...sigh of relief.

i don't know, i've been taking b6 for a couple months along with maca and i am finding my cycle is lengthening rather than my O date coming earlier. But i was also losing weight previously so that may have affected my cycle. I am currently waiting for AF to show up and i am finding the delayed cycle= heavier period and more cramping.

i havent heard that about motrin and b6, but motrin does clamp down your endometrium. if you have heavy periods, you can take a motrin or two to lessen the bleeding/cramps, but other than that, i would avoid it at any other time of your cycle when ttc.
