Antibiotics? EWCM?

Hey guys! I'm 8 DPO right now. I've had a couple cramps and I just found a blob of super stretchy EWCM in my underwear. Thing is, I'm on antibiotics for a UTI right now- would that have anything to do with it? How common is EWCM (a significant quantity of it) post O? Any other insight?

When I take antibiotics it brings on my period. This has happened to me more than once with Azithromycin. I hope that's not what is happening to you.

I don't think that's the one I'm on, and I certainly hope that doesn't happen! I never get ewcm prior to my period, so this is just so weird!

hey spinner girl! are you charting temps? i have seen fm (fertile mucus, not finnigan's mom ) in the luteal phase in two conditions- not with me personally, but on charts. one, just before af comes, there is sometimes a day of ew or watery, and two, once in a while you see it with a mid-luteal temp dip, which is probably attributable to a short estrogen surge - what some people call the "implantation dip" but is probably in no way related to implantation. you will occasionally find a day of fertile cm and/or a spot or two of bleeding at that time.

Yep!! My chart is linked from the one thread in waiting to know. I'm on my iPhone at work so linking is a little tough, but go have a look! My temps have been low compared to previous cycles. This is my first cycle trying b6 to lengthen my already weirdo LP.

Also, heh, don't worry about my vitamin recording on my chart- I take them every day! (except for epo of course :-P)

Manoman! No kidding. My hopes aren't super high, what I'd really like is consistently long enough LPs to even conceive. A baby would just be a huge bonus right now.

TCOYF actualy mentions that one type of antibiotic does trigger ewcm, so it's not a crazy leap to think that's what's happening.

This happened to me last week on antibiotics... I wouldn't worry.
