He had the vision screening specifically looking for a convergence problem (which would've explained the ADHD & the lack of eye contact) and today he passed the CAPD audiogram screening with flying colors. So there doesn't appear to be any other source of ds' ADHD.
We are going to try Feingold--I already have the materials and we've already done it a week here, a week there. I think in my heart of hearts I thought it would be his vision and hearing. But we'll buckle down and actually DO Feingold now. It's going to be hard because we're entering 5 weeks of temp housing with the inlaws (shoot me now) between the closing of our house here in NJ and the closing on the one we're going to live in (in IL).
Give me resources for coping and dealing with him. I don't know what to do until something works. When I need him to pay attention for his safety, how the heck do I do it? Is there a good website/forum for support?

). I need to look at SPD a little more closely since the hearing and vision came back totally clean. He often covers his ears, truly cannot hear us (puts his ear to my mouth sometimes) and has horrible eye contact. SOMEthing's going on. And because he reacts so strongly to other foods, I suspect that there's a tie-in there, too. With the relo taking on a life of it's own for the last 3 months (multiple fast-paced trips to the new state among other things) our food has not been on lockdown--so the issues are worse than normal, that's for sure. Thus my willingness to attempt Feingold.
