Where does your MW do prenatal visits?

In your home or her office? Just curious!

My midwives do them in the front portion of their home. But they couldn't really have an office here per se. I live in Illinois where all this stuff is pretty much hidden under the radar.

oops read that wrong "your home or their office". My midwives do a home visit later in the pregnancy.

My midwife has all the prenatals in her home. We visit in the living room for awhile and then go to a small spare room with a daybed, desk and her midwifery supplies to listen to baby's heart and feel and measure fundal height.

Oh and at some point I go to the bathroom and give a urine sample.

At 36 weeks she comes to see me.

She converted her garage into an office with a small living room/play area, her desk and office stuff, and then two small bedrooms, one of which is used for exams. She does one prenatal visit toward the end of pregnancy at the moms home to see the layout and supplies and such.

In my MW's home. She also does a couple of home visits toward the end of the pregnancy. And if you're having trouble coming to her home for the pre-natals then she will come to your home.

So i guess she prefers to do them in her home but will come to you if you're having a hard time getting there b/c of other obligations, timing, kids, etc.

We have the choice of in our home or at her home..... though she did say that most moms of a bunch choose to have at least a few at her house.....for a break Our last was a date

A mix of my home and her home.

My first was at my home, my second will be at her home. There's another mama in my area, so she's trying to get us on the same schedule so she can drive out to us and do two visits in one drive.

I LOVED having them all in my home. Very intimate and made us feel like friends from the beginning. Nice that my partner was able to be there for every visit and felt like her friend just as much as I did.

In her home, she comes to see me at 37 weeks. I love going to her place...it's so nice and cozy. Not that my house isn't comfortable, but I would worry about cleaning every time I had a visit which would be more stressful for me.

In her home. She has a sun/day room in the back of the house where she meets with clients, but it's not at all office-e.

The last couple of visits will be in my home so she knows exactly how to get here and can be familiar with my home for the birth.

My midwife does her appointment in a little office behind her home. I will have one or two home visits as I get closer to my due date.

My midwives work out of a birth center and do most of their births there, so I go there for prenatals. I am still having a homebirth, they just have the option of either home or birth center birth. There are two teams of 3 midwives & there are 3 birthing rooms where prenatals are also held. It's all very cozy!

With all my lo's my mw appointments were at the dr.'s surgery and then i had a couple of appointments at home near the end of my pregnancy.
