I don't have time to read through all the responses...but I can tell you that if you search through here you'll probably find a similar thread from me...and if it isn't there I definitely thought about posting it!
I didn't find out about my twins until I was 20 weeks along. My DD was 4 and DS was just about to turn 2. I think I spent two weeks or so in a total depression and did nothing. I cried, wouldn't cook, clean, or really even consider normal life. I was floored. Excitement was the furthest thing from my vocabulary.
But as time went on it got better. And now that they are here and we're doing well (not just surviving...doing WELL) I'm so over the moon in love with the idea of twins. In fact if I were to get PG again I think I'd be disappointed to find out there's only one (though, eh, that is not going to happen).
Just rest assured that your life isn't over. Life with twins can be a total blast! You just have to choose to get on the ride and follow it wherever it takes you.
