Not a board game but my kids (and I!) absolutely love any of the card games made by Gamewright. They are easy to learn and fun to play. We give Rat-A-Tat Cat as a birthday gift all the time. It's about $10 I think. We've found that even kids a little younger than the suggested age can play (and win) but big kids like it too.

Me too!! It was one my our favourites growing up. I can't wait for DD to be old enough to play it.
