Anyone else here pregnant without a gallbladder?

Had to have my gallbladder removed in my early 20s, now 8w pregnant in my 40s for the "first" time (excepting one earlier m/c) and finding the morning sickness pretty brutal... lots of all-the-time nausea, plus every time I throw up its yellowish (bile?). Just wondering if I'm doing the normal pregnancy things, or if lacking a gallbladder is somehow making it worse?

No experience with the no gallbladder thing, but the all-the-time-nausea and throwing up bile sound pretty typical. Although there are those rare cases of no-morning sickness at all ladies, thats never been me.

Same thing happened to me w/ each pregnancy both w/ and w/o the gallbladder.

My sister had no gallbladder when she was pregnant with my 11mo niece. She had 24/7/9month sickness, including the whole bile thing. Maybe it's just a coincidence? Her mws never mentioned a connection to the gallbladder.

Not entirely sure if that is related to not having a galbaldder but that could be making things worst its hard to know. I had my galbladder out when I was 17 so its been years. I actually have had a pretty easy first trimester with both this pregnancy and the one with my son. No throwing up The yellowish stuff could be stomach acid. I have talked to other people who have said they have puked up stomach acid and that would be yellow.
Hope you feel better. The first trimester is the pits!

I've had my gallbladder out for 9 years, and didn't really have any morning sickness with this pregnancy (my first post surgery) I'm not sure if they are related, or if you are just having a rough time. Sorry

I've had 2 pregnancies with my gall bladder and now 3 without. I think what you're describing is perfectly normal for either situation. Sorry you're so sick!

I had mine out about 8 years ago. While my pregnancies have gotten progressively worse, sickness-wise, I always blamed it on getting older.
