Fleece Cover Help!

Please help!
I have a new Sugar Peas Windpro Sherpa Fleece cover.
I have compression leaks every single time I use it. The diaper inside is usually not very wet, but the clothes dd is wearing are damp, and anything she has been sitting/lying on is really wet.
I'd really like to make this cover work so I can have a breathable cover for her (and no, I'm not ready to try wool yet!).

I love fleece... but only when they aren't clothed. I use Dancing Bears fleece covers as well as Stacinators with a prefold underneath and have to change every 1.5-2.5 hours. I have honestly never tried fleece under clothes though...

Yep, fleece does this. I find fleece is good for naps and why lying down, but not for sitting... the only fleece cover I've tried that doesn't have this issue quickly is my Sweet Cheeks cover - the fleece is lot thicker (and of course bulkier).

Wool is seriously very easy... and more trustworthy. It just sounds more difficult.

Well, I guess I could be brave and try it for naps - when the crib sheet is due for a change!
I need covers that I can throw in with any load of laundry. DD has a digestive issue, and her poop is very liquid (sorry - tmi) and soaks right through even a thick diaper right to the cover. I almost always need to wash the cover after she poops (and it stains really badly, too!). I'd need so many wool covers to keep up with the laundry. Also, I have a mild sensitivity to wool, and if I handle it too often, I get really itchy. So, I'd rather not be handwashing wool. Oh, and then there's the expense!

ok those are good reasons to be leery of wool

I second the Dancing Bears covers. They come in 2 weights - day and night. I use the night weight at night exclusively. I also found the wicking problem during the day. I agree with Perdita that it is a function of fleece that it will wick at pressure spots. On the plus side, I've NEVER had a leak at night with my Dancing Bears.
