Told DP I refuse to circ...

I'm newly pregnant (different father from my others)...we haven't been together for very long, and while we touched on circ once before, we never really discussed it. So on Sunday we had our first sit down talk since finding out we're expecting. I touched on a few of my crunchy things I'm set on, all of which he's not only fine with but supportive of (homebirth, CD, full-term bf, etc. - except not vaxing, which he's going to research). Then I told him I will NOT, under any circumstances, circ this baby if it's a boy. His response? "Doesn't that cost money?" I told him I think Medicaid still covers it in Texas (couldn't remember it) and he exclaimed, "That's BS! Our tax dollars go to THAT?!"

I would never, ever let it happen but I'm SO happy I don't have to fight over it!!!

My DH was also very supportive. I asked what he though about circ (before we knew they were girls). He said "Why would I have part of my son cut off?(with confused look as if I was crazy for even asking)

That is so nice that he understands the issue and is supportive of leaving a son intact.
Now, if the issue of Medicaid funding circumcision really bothers him, he could write some letters about that.
