blew my nose too hard and now my ear is all weird

So I have seasonal allergies, and yesterday I was in bed, on my side, and apparently blew my nose too hard. My right ear feels kind of blocked and won't come unblocked. It feels weird. What did I do?? How do I fix it?

I did that back in February or March. Anyway, it turned out it was an ear infection. A really nasty one at that.

Do you have a neti pot or saline nasal rinse bottle? I would try that.

I second the Neti pot...it might be a good, gentle way of aleviating the pressure in the ear. If it doesn´t change in a day or two, you might want to get it checked out, though. I think the longer something goes untreated in that area, the more chances there are of lingering issues. I waiting too long to treat a sinus infection (a couple weeks, for not realizing what it was - I had never had one before) and have a permanently blocked eustachian tube in my right ear...it´s like that blocked sensation you have when you get a cold - that clears up when the cold is over - never cleared up...no fun.
