Do you pay for FB apps?

Thread Starter
I was just reading this article and they estimated that the average Farmville player spends $20 / month to play. I find this hard to believe because everyone I know that plays doesn't pay anything.

How many FB apps to you have that you use on a regular basis? Do you pay to use them, and if yes, how much do you pay on a monthly basis?

Given how crappy, glitchy, and resource hogging all those silly apps are ( I played Kingdoms of camelot for a bit, and cafe world too but none anymore) I can't see why ANYONE would pay a cent for using them. Sounds like the PR company representing one of the aps wants ppl to THINK other people are playing to pay their stupid games so THEY will think ...oh ok, if the avg user spends 20 bucks a month then it's not so bad for me to spent 10 bucks this one time to buy x goodie for the game?

I don't pay for any- not that I use them anyway

I spend enough time on there 'chatting' that I'd become a complete waste of space if I was involved with apps.. I'm trying to limit my time online as it is

I don't pay for any either. I would cancel fb before I would pay.

I play too many of those silly FB games, but I pay for none of them. Half the time we barely have enough money for real life stuff, so I'm not going to waste money on make believe stuff.

On one of the games I play, I have several friends who spend what appears to be massive amounts of money on it because they have a bunch of the stuff that's only available through the "cash."

I, too, would delete my FB account before I would pay for those silly games. But, I'm willing to believe that there are probably enough people who pay (more than $20/month) for Farmville stuff that it averages out to $20/month/player.

No way would I pay for fb apps.

I don't and can't really imagine paying money for those games. Yeah they're fun, but not THAT fun you know?

I dropped all the time sensitive, sit and click for hours, games and never paid anything for them while I was playing them.

Was tempted to pay for them from time to time when I was playing way too much, so I wouldn't be surprised if the average was quite high.

I play a couple of facebook games, but I don't pay for them.

My dd and I play several of them but would never pay real money for them.

I did a Superpoke pet on FB for awhile, mostly because DD liked helping me with it. I remember being so confused about the gold and silver at first. I assumed that the gold was something you got at a higher level, and then realized you were supposed to buy gold, so you could buy imaginary things for an imaginary pet.

I just couldn't believe anyone did that, but obviously lots of people do.

I play Farmville like crazy, but have never given them a cent.

I go off & an a couple, but no, I have never paid for them.

Never played and never paid.

And I hide all of the games that my friends play, so I never even have to look at them.

Ummm, well, yes, I have paid $10 a month for an upgraded version of Packrat on and off over the last couple of years. I think I've spent about $60, maybe $80. It might be wacky, but oh so fun!! LOL!

I would never pay to play games online especially a facebook app.

No. I don't use any of the apps or play the games.

This was me when I realized you're supposed to pay real money to buy gold for your Pet -->

I haven't thought about my Pet in many months. Poor guy is probably a poopy, starved mess now.

oh, I do pay for 3 of my kids to have Club Penguin accounts - so I guess that's similar to paying for FB games.

I didn't know you could do that! How do you block those messages?
