Won't eat finger foods anymore

My 14 month old was eating finger foods really well from like 10 months till about 2 months ago. Now he may eat some peas and some green beans and definitely eats pancakes, tofu, bananas, and snacks like cheerios, crackers, etc. But won't eat carrots, sweet potatoes, corn, etc anymore, not even when we give on a spoon. We have to give him baby food all the time now. But I don't know how long we should do this. He eats carrots and everything in baby food. I try to reintroduce things all the time but end up wasting so much that he doesn't eat. Has anyone else had this issue and how did you deal?

any ideas?

I'm really desperate for some answers so just want to bump this up. I feel like he's going to be eating baby food until he's 3 or something! Am I wrong to think he's getting too young for baby food?

My 13 month old went through that recently....started being finicky about everything on his tray when he was usualy a great eater. It was because of teething. I looked in his mouth and there was a molar! We too went back to purees but now he seems ot be excited to chew on solids again.

Don't be too concerned. I'm sure his eating patterns will change here and there. As long as he is getting it somehow its alright!

No way I would have bothered with baby food for a toddler (without a medical reason) If he's hungry, he'll feed himself. A good portion of his nutrition should still be breastmilk anyway. Nurse and offer healthy choices.
