Anyone go significantly overdue on third, fourth or more children with accurate dates?

Not sure why I am worrying, but I am! So far we have more indications baby boy will arrive earlier rather than later, but I've never had a boy and I've never gone post-term. I have two 39 weekers and one 39 weeks 5 days (my last!). I want baby to come when he's ready, but I just wondered if anyone did go over with a later baby... particularly if that wasn't their "pattern" with prior births.

Thanks in advance!

I suspect you will not go past your due date.

My pattern went like this:

10 days overdue (boy)
7 days overdue (girl)
born on due date (good girl!)
1 day before due date (boy)
3 days before due date (boy)

I am so hoping to go a bit earlier this time! Going past one's due date is a special kind of hell... I mean... character building time.

Best wishes to you!

1 - one day past edd
2 - two weeks before edd
3 - ten days after edd
4 - i think 2 weeks past edd, maybe more...it was august so it felt like a year in that heat
5 - 7 weeks before edd

Just from talking to other moms of many, it seems like the third pregnancy is the fluke. If you think you have a pattern of going early, you don't. If your labors are usually ten hours long, this one will be three. If you think you're in labor, you're not. That kind of thing. I knew without a doubt when I was in labor for 1 and 2 but with 3, when I was more experienced, I had two false alarms - one of those times, my poor doula came all the way to my house only to find me nowhere near labor by the time she arrived. In your case, since you're *expecting* the baby to be late, he will probably actually be early. I'm telling you, those third babies really mess with you. Best wishes to you for a happy end-of-pregnancy and an easy labor and delivery.

Good luck to you too! An apt description; you have me chuckling here!

nova22 - my third was definitely the wacky one in terms of length of labor and pregnancy and that's sort of what the docs said too. I figured part of that might be the large gap between 2 and 3. Like my body reset to being like a first timer. My sister had an experience like you, including her 5th being 5 weeks early after several post term babes.

Thank you all!

My first and 2nd were born at 41 weeks ... baby 3 was induced at 40w4 days...I'm almost positive I'll go over my EDD this time, too, and I'm dreading it. I've always wished to go a week or so early!

My 4th baby was born at 42 weeks. My 3rd was born at 40w1d, so I was definitely shocked that ds hung out for so long.

(First two were induced at 40 and 41 weeks)
